Non-Remy hair may be collected from multiple sources and may have cuticles facing different directions, which can lead to tangling and a less natural appearance.

The lifespan of the extensions depends on the type of extensions and how well they are cared for. Clip-in extensions can last for several months with proper care, while sew-in and fusion extensions may need to be removed and reinstalled every few weeks.
